What you'll do
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic team in London. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide legal and corporate governance support, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices.
You will play a key role in preparing board papers and packs, coordinating board meetings and taking minutes. Additionally, you will support legal and company secretarial matters, including maintaining corporate records and assisting with regulatory filings.
Key responsibilities and objectives
- Assist in reviewing and commenting on contracts: Prepare and analyse various types of contracts, ensuring they align with legal requirements, company policies, internal risk and business objectives. Identify and address potential legal risks, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the organisation in a practical and commercial manner.
- Coordination of legal advisory and risk assessment: Coordinate legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual matters
- Contract management and administration: Maintain a comprehensive contract database, track contract expiration dates, and ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions. Collaborate with relevant teams to monitor contract performance, amendments, extensions, and terminations.
- Contract templates and standardization: Maintain and update contract templates, clauses, and playbooks. Ensure contractual terms are consistent with legal standards and align with the organisation's risk appetite.
- Framework Establishment: Maintain contract framework and adhere to the process ensuring relevant stakeholders are inputting to contracts.
- Compliance and regulatory adherence: Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting contract management. Ensure contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements, such as data protection, intellectual property and competition laws.
- Corporate Secretarial Duties: Fulfilling statutory obligations related to company administration. This includes maintaining accurate company records, filing required documents with regulatory authorities, managing share capital and shareholder registers and ensuring compliance with company constitution and bylaws.
- Board Papers: Organising board meetings, preparing meeting agendas and materials, recording accurate minutes, and facilitating effective communication between the board and management.

An experienced inhouse Paralegal with a proactive, hands on attitude and a willingness to get stuck into the details.
What you'll need
Experience
- Experience with company secretarial duties, including board pack preparation, minute taking and filings.
- Extensive experience as an in-house paralegal.
- Proven experience in contract review, corporate governance and due diligence.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to apply legal concepts in a commercial context.
Skills and qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to communicate effectively and get to the heart of complex issues both orally and in writing.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities.
- Adept at juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A law degree (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification.
