About the Role

Looking for more than a traditional paralegal role?

If you're passionate about the law but don't want to spend every day reviewing contracts or working in one specialist area, this could be exactly what you're looking for.

At SGN, our Legal Services team sits at the heart of the business, helping us make the right decisions, protect our people and uphold the highest standards of integrity.

We're looking for a curious, motivated Paralegal who wants to build a broad legal career while working on matters that genuinely make a difference. From supporting internal investigations and our confidential Speak Up programme to assisting on Health & Safety legal matters and corporate compliance, this is a role where you'll learn something new every day.

You'll work with experienced legal professionals, gain exposure to a wide variety of legal issues and play an important role in helping us do the right thing for our colleagues, customers and the communities we serve.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting internal investigations by gathering evidence, reviewing documentation and helping prepare reports.
  • Assisting with our Speak Up programme, ensuring concerns are handled professionally, fairly and confidentially.
  • Supporting legal work relating to Health & Safety, helping protect both our people and the public.
  • Undertaking legal research and translating complex information into practical advice.
  • Drafting correspondence, reports, policies and legal documentation.
  • Managing case files and ensuring records are accurate and well maintained.
  • Working with colleagues across the business to provide practical legal support.
  • Supporting wider compliance and governance projects that help keep SGN operating safely and responsibly.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
