About HF

People. Not just lawyers

We’re not your typical law firm – we’re people with a passion for helping our clients and each other achieve the best possible outcomes. We are leading legal advisers to the insurance and commercial sectors across the UK & Ireland, known for our innovation, client focus, and long-lasting relationships. We do things differently, with a forward-thinking approach built around our clients’ needs, supported by cutting-edge technology and a culture built around people from a wide range of backgrounds who are taking an equally wide range of routes to building their careers in law.

We are currently looking for a Paralegal to join our Recoveries Team in Scotland either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

As a Paralegal you will deal independently (under supervision) with a case load of fixed fee, pre-litigated and litigated delegated authority (“DA”) claims. To ensure that clients are confident that their claims and potential legal affairs are dealt with in a professional and competent manner, and to ensure the efficient operation of the team.

You will assist qualified staff and other Litigation Executive/Claims Handlers as and when required to manage and progress litigated debt recovery cases within the Scottish jurisdiction. You will comply with MI reporting and Client Service Level Agreements, and retain up to date claims knowledge at all times through internal and external courses/seminars.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
