Amazing opportunity to join a full-service law firm

I’m currently assisting a close client, a well-established, forward-thinking law firm, with an opportunity for a Paralegal to join their Commercial Debt Litigation team in Manchester.

This is a great role for someone with solid experience in debt recovery and litigation, particularly those who have dealt with defended claims, insolvency matters and individual consumer debt work.

You’ll join a supportive, fast-paced team with a varied caseload and clear opportunities to develop your litigation experience and progress your career.

  • Handling defended litigation and contested debt claims
  • Dealing with insolvency-related matters
  • Managing individual consumer debt matters
  • Drafting letters of claim and reviewing agreements
  • Profiling debtors and assessing recovery prospects
  • Negotiating settlements and liaising with clients
  • Issuing proceedings, entering judgment and progressing enforcement action
  • Managing files, billing and reporting

What they’re looking for:

  • Previous debt recovery experience is essential
  • Experience handling defended litigation is highly desirable
  • Exposure to insolvency matters and/or individual consumer work
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Confident communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage your own caseload
