As we scale, we are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal department.

Role Overview

The Paralegal will serve as a pivotal link between Cyferd’s legal team and our other internal departments to ensure seamless communication and efficient handling of legal matters. This role is instrumental in providing essential support to our legal department: reviewing and drafting key legal documents; liaising with stakeholders across the organisation; and supporting company-wide legal and compliance initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • proactive
  • confident in engaging with staff across the business, from junior team members to senior stakeholders
  • capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Document Review and Drafting: Assist with reviewing, drafting, formatting and proofreading commercial documentation, legal contracts, and formal correspondence with a high level of precision.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a main legal touchpoint for departments such as Sales, Finance, HR, and Operations to ensure legal alignment in contracts and business deals.
  • Legal Administration and Organisation: Organise, maintain, and update legal files, documents and internal systems to ensure records are compliant, current and accurate.
  • Stakeholder Management: Confidently communicate deadlines, legal guidance and updates to senior managers and executives across the business.
  • Process execution: Ensure all legal queries and tasks are handled promptly and efficiently.
  • Compliance Documentation: Support the operations team with compliance matters, including but not limited to document preparation for regulatory filings and audits.
  • Legal Research: Undertaking legal research into laws and regulations and applying that research to your work within the company.

What You Bring (Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications)

  • Education: A law degree (or equivalent) from a UK institution grounded in the jurisdiction of England and Wales.
  • Exceptional professional communication standards (both verbal and written) with an ability to communicate concisely and appropriately with senior leadership and key business stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail in written work and document preparation.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A strong growth mindset and eager willingness to learn. We value potential, adaptability, and enthusiasm to learn fast.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and comfortable with the use of technology and open to embracing new software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Commercial and business acumen.
  • A proactive and motivated mindset with the capability of working both independently and with team members.
