Job Title: Paralegal

Location: Harrogate

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

Are you an experienced Paralegal looking for your next move?

We're looking for a confident, organised and proactive Paralegal to join an established and supportive legal team in Harrogate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Paralegal looking to take the next step, broaden their expertise and take real ownership of their work.

Working closely with the Department Head, you'll handle a varied and interesting caseload, building strong client relationships along the way.

You'll work across sales and purchases, commercial leases, landlord and tenant matters, property finance, development and property management, covering office, industrial, retail and agricultural property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied commercial property caseload
  • Supporting property sales, purchases and transactions through to completion
  • Handling landlord and tenant matters, including leases, licences and renewals
  • Assisting with property finance transactions
  • Reviewing titles, searches, CPSE enquiries and other due diligence
  • Drafting and reviewing commercial property documentation
  • Preparing reports, completion statements and transaction documents
  • Liaising with clients and key professional contacts
  • Managing key dates, deadlines and transaction timetables
  • Handling Land Registry and post-completion requirements
  • Preparing and submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax returns
  • Maintaining accurate files and case management records
  • Providing a high-quality, responsive client service
  • Working closely with the Head of Commercial Property
  • Supporting networking and business-development activities

  • Previous Paralegal experience
  • Strong knowledge of commercial property and conveyancing
  • Excellent legal research, drafting and document-review skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and competing deadlines
  • Confident working independently and taking ownership
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, approachable and client-focused
  • Good IT and case management skills
  • Proactive, reliable and team-oriented approach

In return, you'll receive £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, Christmas and New Year office closure, private healthcare and a pension scheme.
