We are recruiting for a motivated and compassionate Paralegal to join their specialist team handling Abuse and/or Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) claims.

You will support fee earners in managing a caseload of sensitive and complex matters, helping clients navigate the legal process and obtain the compensation and support they deserve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting fee earners with Abuse and/or CICA claims from inception through to settlement.
  • Liaising with clients, witnesses, medical experts and third parties.
  • Taking client instructions and drafting correspondence.
  • Obtaining and reviewing medical records, police records and supporting documentation.
  • Preparing claim documentation and court bundles where required.
  • Maintaining accurate case management records and ensuring compliance with deadlines.
  • Providing exceptional client care to vulnerable individuals.

About You

We're interested in hearing from candidates who have experience in:

  • Abuse claims, including historic abuse matters; or
  • CICA claims; or
  • Other claimant litigation areas such as personal injury, clinical negligence or serious injury matters

Additionally, we are looking for candidates with:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A compassionate and professional approach when dealing with sensitive cases.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • A genuine interest in claimant work and supporting vulnerable clients.
