Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing general administrative support to fee-earners including drafting, reviewing, and proofreading legal documents
- Researching points of law and other factual issues and preparing reports on the same
- Collating, organizing, uploading, and managing documents in Legatics and any other online data room service
- Compiling and working through conditions precedent lists before closing and managing closing processes
Person Specification
Education / Qualifications / Experience:
- Law graduate with a first or upper second class degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 12 months' paralegal experience or other relevant legal work experience (preferred)
- Experience using legal research databases (preferred)
Knowledge and Technical Skills:
- Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Previous legal database experience

General Skills/Attributes:
- Highly organized and methodical approach to the role as well as confidence with IT systems
- Attention to detail and the confidence to work independently
- Willingness to travel to London as required
- Highly motivated and commercially astute
- Excellent communication skills and a collegiate, team-based attitude
- The ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Self-motivated, hardworking, reliable, and works well under pressure
- Ability to work on multiple matters in parallel
Key Relationships:
Works closely with the Banking fee earners (both Bristol and London based).
