THE ROLE & TEAM

Our Charities Team advises a wide range of charities and not-for-profit organisations on governance, constitutional matters, regulatory compliance, and Charity Commission requirements.

As a Paralegal, you will play an important role in supporting the team's legal and regulatory work, helping deliver an exceptional client experience and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

This position offers hands-on experience across a variety of matters and is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, building client relationships, and developing specialist legal knowledge.

You will gain exposure to a broad range of legal, regulatory, and client-facing work, supporting charities, trustees, and not-for-profit organisations.

Agencies

We are not accepting CVs for this role as we are aiming to fill it directly. We value your support and will reach out if required. Please do not send speculative CVs. Any unsolicited CVs sent to hiring managers or the business, without prior instruction from a member of the Talent Acquisition team, will be treated as a gift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing charity filings, including annual reports and accounts, resolutions, and updates to regulatory records.
  • Drafting straightforward charity resolutions and advising clients on the process for passing and implementing them.
  • Preparing and submitting applications to the Charity Commission for routine regulatory consents.
  • Assisting with applications for the registration of new charities.
  • Triaging new client enquiries and coordinating initial conversations with members of the team.
  • Conducting client onboarding procedures, including client identity and due diligence checks.
  • Undertaking file reviews to identify fee positions and highlight where clarification or amendments may be required.
  • Supporting marketing and business development activities, including events, campaigns, and client communications.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for new client instructions and cross-selling opportunities across the wider firm.
  • Providing administrative and matter-management support to the Charities Team as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
