About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Commercial Litigation team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality legal and administrative support to solicitors and partners across a varied caseload of commercial disputes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious paralegal looking to develop their experience in commercial litigation within a professional and supportive legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting solicitors and partners with a broad range of commercial litigation matters.
- Conducting legal and factual research and preparing research notes and summaries.
- Reviewing, organising and analysing documents and evidence.
- Assisting with the preparation of court documents, pleadings, witness statements, chronologies, and case summaries.
- Supporting the disclosure and document review process.
- Preparing bundles and other documentation for hearings, meetings, and mediations.
- Assisting with case management and maintaining accurate electronic and physical files.
- Drafting correspondence and routine legal documents under appropriate supervision.
- Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, experts, and other third parties where required.
- Monitoring deadlines and assisting with the management of limitation dates and key case milestones.
- Attending client meetings, conferences, hearings, and other litigation-related appointments as required.
- Assisting with billing, time recording, and other administrative requirements.
- Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with the firm's policies and professional obligations.
- Providing general support to the wider litigation team as required.

Key Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or similar role, ideally within commercial litigation or dispute resolution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines effectively.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Ability to review and summarise complex information accurately.
- Good understanding of the litigation process and court procedures.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, case management systems, and electronic document management systems.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
- Professional, proactive, and client-focused approach.
- Law degree, LPC, SQE, or equivalent legal qualification/training would be advantageous, but is not essential depending on experience.

Desirable Experience
Experience in some or all of the following would be advantageous:
- Commercial disputes
- Contractual disputes
- Professional negligence
- Shareholder and partnership disputes
- Banking and finance disputes
- Property-related litigation
- Injunctions and urgent applications
- Debt recovery
- Alternative dispute resolution, including mediation
- County Court and High Court proceedings
- Legal research and case law analysis
- E-disclosure/document review
