The Role

We are seeking an organised, proactive and detail-focused Paralegal & Company Secretary Assistant to support the legal and governance functions for a fast-growing FinTech. This is a varied role combining day-to-day paralegal support with core company secretarial administration, offering excellent exposure to legal, regulatory, and corporate governance work.

Working closely with senior legal and governance colleagues, you will:

  • Provide paralegal support, including legal research, drafting, document management, and assisting with contract reviews.
  • Support company secretarial activities, including maintaining statutory records, preparing Board and Committee packs, and assisting with Companies House filings.
  • Help coordinate governance processes such as meeting scheduling, minute-taking, action tracking, and compliance monitoring.
  • Assist with the organisation and administration of legal and corporate documentation, ensuring accuracy and version control.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external advisers to support smooth and timely delivery of legal and governance tasks.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal and governance processes, templates, and systems.

  • Experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Company Secretarial Assistant
  • Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Confident written communication skills and a professional, discreet approach.
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
  • Interest in governance, compliance, and corporate administration.
