Paralegal - Construction (12 Month FTC)

Wedlake Bell are recruiting a Paralegal to join our highly regarded Construction team. This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract with the expectation of five days in-office per week.

The Construction Team at Wedlake Bell has gone from strength to strength in recent years, consistently maintaining high rankings amongst City law firms (Legal 500 Tier 3, Band 4 Chambers and Partners). The team advises at every stage of the construction life cycle, from planning and design through to successful completion, and everything in between. We work with a variety of leading clients across multiple industries (offices, logistics, retail, ports, healthcare, biotech, data centres, and more).

Paralegals in the Construction team provide general support to Partners and fee-earners, working on a variety of non-contentious construction matters. This role provides key support primarily to our non-contentious construction Partners and will be heavily involved in supporting construction projects throughout the construction life cycle, though there will be some exposure to construction disputes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an interested law graduate to join a thriving and varied Construction practice; you will gain outstanding experience daily and have excellent mentorship and development opportunities from our close-knit team. The successful candidate will be available to start immediately.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
