We're always looking to support our colleagues to work in a way that works best for them and everyone else, including our clients, the business and the regulators. Please speak to a member of our Recruitment and Onboarding team for more information.

The Court of Protection is the judicial body responsible for making decisions relating to the management of finances and personal affairs for individuals who lack the mental capacity to do so themselves.

As one of the UK’s leading law firms, we have a highly regarded team specialising in Court of Protection matters. We support:

  • Clients managing the affairs of others
  • Individuals concerned about someone else’s capacity
  • Clients seeking support with their own decision-making capacity

Your Role And What You'll Be Doing

This is a busy and fast-paced role, requiring strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritise effectively, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and clients.

You’ll be a key point of contact for our clients, many of whom have life-changing disabilities such as serious brain injuries, dementia, and mental health illnesses. You’ll help these individuals manage their financial affairs and work closely with the team’s Associates and Partners to ensure they have the right support at all times.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
