The Team
Our talented people within our Criminal Law team have an extraordinary history of supporting individuals and families through some of the most challenging and life-changing situations they may face. Our work includes representation in police stations and courts nationwide, specialist support for those with neurodivergent presentations and mental health conditions, advocacy across a broad range of criminal justice matters, and access to therapeutic and rehabilitative pathways that promote positive change. Collectively, these engagements help protect individual rights, preserve reputations and livelihoods, support families, and ensure fair access to justice.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented and motivated Solicitor to join our Family team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse client base, providing high-quality legal advice and building trusted relationships within one.
You'll work alongside supportive and experienced colleagues, collaborating across teams to deliver excellent client service while continuing to develop your own skills and expertise.
This role offers the opportunity to:
- Support our fee-earners on complex and high value legal matters within the Private Client sector, ensuring excellent outcomes for clients
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their aims and supporting their success
- Work collaboratively across the team and wider firm to deliver a seamless and high-quality client experience
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high performing team culture
- Identify opportunities to enhance client service, improve ways of working, and support the continued development of the practice
- Manage matters effectively, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard, in a timely and efficient way, and with appropriate commercial awareness
- Maintain high professional and regulatory standards at all times
- Continue your own professional development, staying informed of legal and sector developments

This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of around two days per week in the office, however, this role requires travel to other office locations and off-site venues in response to client needs, including attendance at courts, police stations, and prisons nationwide. Due to the nature of the work, there may be occasional requirements to work outside standard office hours, including evenings or weekends, depending on client demands. As such, the ability to travel is essential to fulfil the responsibilities of the role.
About You

Essential
- High attention to detail.

- Experience of organising workload and meeting deadlines.
- A keen interest in Criminal law.
This role requires travel to other office locations and off-site venues in response to client needs, including attendance at courts, police stations, and prisons nationwide. Due to the nature of the work, there may be occasional requirements to work outside standard office hours, including evenings or weekends, depending on client demands. As such, the ability to travel is essential to fulfil the responsibilities of the role. A driving license and access to your own car is essential for this role.
- Professional and effective telephone skills taking detailed messages where necessary.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience in relevant criminal and/or regulatory experience in Paralegal role.
- Completion of LLB, GDL or LPC (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in relevant criminal and/or regulatory experience is desirable.
