THE ROLE & TEAM

Our Litigation team helps clients resolve legal disputes when it matters most.

Working across our Liverpool, Lancashire, Manchester and Leeds offices, the team advises individuals, families, owner-managed businesses, SMEs and household-name organisations on a wide range of contentious matters. Areas of expertise include commercial disputes, debt recovery, professional negligence, director and shareholder disputes, insolvency litigation, contentious probate, clinical negligence and sports-related disputes.

We are looking for a Paralegal to join our growing Litigation team, with a particular focus on supporting our market-leading debt recovery practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop specialist experience in debt recovery while gaining exposure to wider commercial litigation matters. You will support the efficient recovery of commercial debts for clients across a variety of sectors, helping to progress matters from initial instruction through to resolution.

Working closely with experienced lawyers and colleagues across the debt recovery function, you will play a key role in delivering a responsive and commercially focused service. The position offers hands-on experience from day one, with responsibility for progressing matters, liaising directly with clients and supporting the ongoing development of an efficient and effective recovery process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting fee earners on a range of debt recovery and commercial litigation matters
  • Assisting with pre-action debt recovery processes, including letters before action and statutory demands
  • Preparing court documents, claim forms and other legal documentation
  • Progressing debt recovery matters through the litigation process under supervision
  • Liaising with clients, courts, agents and other third parties
  • Supporting the management and administration of a high-volume debt recovery caseload
  • Maintaining and updating case management systems to ensure accurate documentation and tracking of matters
  • Monitoring key deadlines and helping to ensure matters progress efficiently
  • Assisting with reporting and client updates
  • Undertaking legal and factual research where required
  • Providing general legal and administrative support to the wider Litigation team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
