Your role

As a Paralegal at the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), you’ll be a valued member of a small, collaborative Legal team that plays a vital role in supporting the organisation’s mission to build public trust in the insurance and financial planning profession. Your work will span a wide range of legal areas, including contract management, intellectual property, data protection, and dispute resolution.

You’ll contribute to the smooth running of the Legal function by preparing and reviewing legal documents, conducting research, and supporting governance and compliance activities. You’ll also engage with colleagues across the organisation and external stakeholders to provide clear, practical legal support.

This is a varied and meaningful role that offers both responsibility and development. Your work will span policy development, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery — from managing ethics content and benchmarking exercises to overseeing strategic reviews and reporting to senior governance bodies. You’ll also support the evolution of ethical training and contribute to shaping the future of professionalism across the sector.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
