The role...
Our paralegals assist in the management/running of our litigation, including specific tasks such as calculating losses, dealing with case management orders, attending on clients, meeting witnesses, and undertaking legal research.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to get involved with all aspects of the employment rights team, including assisting on and potentially managing straightforward employment matters, such as unfair dismissals and wages claims under supervision.

Who we are looking for...
We are looking for candidates with an undergraduate law degree or equivalent legal qualifications. We are keen to hear from paralegals with an interest or background in employment rights and social justice law. Knowledge of Employment Law and Employment Tribunal (ET) Procedure (whether through work, study or volunteering is preferred but not essential). Experience of working in an office environment and providing good service to customers and clients would also be beneficial.
Thompson’s is at the forefront of employment rights and trade union work and we are looking for paralegals with a genuine interest in acting for employees in this area and who want to start a career in social justice law. We are looking for skilled communicators, who can provide excellent client care and who can work on their own initiative in a supportive team environment.
