Levy & McRae is seeking an experienced Accredited Paralegal to join our dedicated team representing patients involved in the Eljamel Public Inquiry. This is a unique opportunity to work on one of Scotland's most significant public inquiries, supporting clients whose lives have been profoundly affected and helping to ensure their voices are heard throughout the inquiry process.
The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with our solicitors, assisting with all aspects of inquiry and litigation support, including:
- Managing client files and correspondence
- Taking instructions and statements from clients
- Reviewing and analysing medical records and documentation
- Preparing witness statements and productions
- Supporting case preparation for hearings and inquiry proceedings
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive case records

Essential Requirements
Applicants should ideally:
- Be an Accredited Paralegal
- Have experience handling personal injury and/or medical negligence cases in Scotland
- Possess excellent organisational and communication skills
- Be able to manage a varied and demanding caseload
- Demonstrate empathy, professionalism and a client-focused, trauma-informed approach
- Have strong attention to detail and experience reviewing complex documentation
