The Opportunity

Chalk Hill Group are supporting a prominent law firm based in the Fareham area in their recruitment of an Employment Law Paralegal to join a growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal looking to develop their experience within employment law, working alongside a highly regarded Partner and supporting a prestigious client base on a varied and interesting caseload.

Employment law sits at the very heart of this office's focus, making this an ideal role for someone who is genuinely interested in building their career in this area. You will have the opportunity to work closely with an experienced Partner who has an excellent reputation in the market, gaining valuable exposure to high-quality work and sophisticated clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with experienced solicitors, your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting with a varied caseload of employment law matters.
  • Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries.
  • Drafting and reviewing employment-related documents, correspondence and agreements.
  • Assisting with matters involving disciplinary and grievance procedures, redundancy, discrimination, unfair dismissal and employment contracts.
  • Preparing bundles, chronologies and other case documentation.
  • Supporting the preparation of Employment Tribunal claims and responses.
  • Liaising professionally with clients, counsel, tribunals and other relevant parties.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Providing general administrative and paralegal support to the employment team.
  • Keeping up to date with developments in employment legislation and case law.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in, or has a strong interest in, employment law.
  • Ideally educated to degree level and/or has completed relevant legal qualifications.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

Previous paralegal or employment law experience is desirable, but we are also interested in candidates with transferable legal experience and a genuine interest in developing their career within employment law.
