Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (37.5 hours per week)

Role Overview
Introduction to the role:
This role involves supporting solicitors with management of their cases including attending conferences, settlement meetings, court and assisting in drafting witness statements, court documents etc. The role may also require the paralegal to be seconded to clients to support claims and inquest management.
Introduction To The Team
This role provides the opportunity to join one of the fastest growing teams in Hill Dickinson. The Health Litigation team have been growing year-on-year with a team of over 100 lawyers and national coverage, we are one of the leading firms providing legal advice and support to the NHS and independent healthcare organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting solicitors with the running of clinical negligence cases for NHS Resolution.
- Instructing experts and obtaining factual evidence from witnesses.
- Drafting Letters of Responses for review by solicitors.
- Updating clients and taking responsibility for meeting deadlines.
- There may also be an opportunity for paralegals to undertake client secondments, including with local NHS Trusts.

What Are We Looking For
Important criteria:
- Prior experience within a similar role, successfully supporting solicitors with proactive case management.
- The ability to work independently in addition to as part of a team.
- Ability to deliver technically accurate and appropriate advice to clients.
- Ability to work to deadlines and run an effective diary system.
- Adheres to guidelines and procedures.
- Demonstrates understanding of client needs/expectations.
- Ability to interact and communicate with client and keep them up-to-date.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to influence and negotiate.
- Shows commercial awareness in understanding of the market and sector.
It would be beneficial for you to have some of the following:
- Some prior experience in clinical negligence.
