Paralegal (or Staff Attorney) - London Health & Life Sciences Practice
A leading international law firm is looking for a Paralegal (or Staff Attorney) to join its London Health & Life Sciences practice. You'll support lawyers advising clients across healthcare and life sciences transactions, regulatory matters and advisory work, including CQC-related issues, regulatory investigations, due diligence and procurement/public law matters.
What you'll do
- Support healthcare regulatory matters, including CQC and other healthcare regulators
- Conduct legal research on healthcare law and regulatory issues
- Assist on regulatory investigations and enforcement actions for healthcare and investor clients
- Draft and review healthcare and life sciences agreements, templates and policies
- Support due diligence on healthcare transactions (hospitals, care homes, clinics, GP practices)
- Monitor and summarise changes in healthcare legislation and guidance
- Support procurement and public law matters

What we're looking for

- Background in healthcare law, regulatory work or litigation, ideally in a similar role or professional services environment
- Understanding of the CQC regulatory framework
- Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) NHS-related policies and reporting guidelines
- Strong legal research and communication skills
- Understanding of GDPR and confidentiality issues around health data
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, professional attitude
