Paralegal - Insolvency

At Farleys, our Insolvency team advises insolvency practitioners, businesses, company directors, creditors, and individuals on a wide range of complex and commercially important matters.
We're looking for an ambitious Paralegal to join the team and support our lawyers on a varied caseload, whilst gaining exposure to high-quality work and developing specialist expertise in this growing area of law.
Whether you're already working within insolvency or have gained experience in litigation and are looking to specialise, this is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your legal career.
The Role
Working alongside experienced solicitors and partners, you'll assist on a broad range of insolvency matters and play an important role in the day-to-day management of cases.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Assisting with corporate and personal insolvency matters
- Assisting with investigations into directors' conduct, antecedent transactions, and asset recovery claims
- Supporting fee earners with case management and administration
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents including applications, witness statements, and court documents in insolvency litigation matters
- Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries
- Reviewing financial and case documentation
- Liaising with clients, insolvency practitioners, barristers, and third parties
- Preparing court bundles and hearing documents
- Managing key deadlines and maintaining accurate file records
- Providing excellent client service throughout the lifecycle of a case

About You
We're interested in candidates who are organised, proactive, and eager to develop within a specialist legal practice.
You Will Ideally Have
- Previous Paralegal experience within insolvency, litigation, commercial litigation, debt recovery, or a similar area
- A Law degree, LPC, SQE, or equivalent legal qualification
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate with professional clients, including insolvency practitioners, accountants, and lenders
- The ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- A professional and client-focused approach
- A genuine interest in insolvency law and commercial matters
