Henry Boot is one of the UK’s leading land, property development and home building businesses, renowned for transforming land and spaces.

Founded in Sheffield in 1886, Henry Boot was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1919. Today, our reputation is built on quality, expertise, delivery and a partnership approach. We focus on three long-term growth markets: residential, industrial and logistics, and urban development. Our group of businesses consists of Banner Plant, Hallam Land, HBD, Road Link and Stonebridge. Together, we are where great places start.

We're looking for a Paralegal to join our Legal Team and play a key role in supporting legal activity across our diverse group of businesses, including Hallam Land, HBD, Stonebridge and Banner Plant.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive legal professional who enjoys variety, thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to gain exposure to a broad range of commercial, construction and property matters.

The opportunity

As a Paralegal, you'll work closely with the Head of Legal and wider legal team, providing practical, business-focused legal support across the Group. From drafting and reviewing contracts to conducting legal research and supporting governance and compliance activities, you'll be at the heart of helping the business make informed decisions and manage risk effectively.

You'll build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, gaining valuable insight into how legal services support commercial objectives while contributing to projects that make a real impact.

What you'll be doing

You'll be involved in a wide range of legal and administrative activities, including:

  • Drafting and negotiating commercial, construction and real estate documentation.
  • Supporting lawyers on a variety of legal matters across the business.
  • Undertaking legal and regulatory research.
  • Assisting with governance, compliance and policy development.
  • Preparing reports, legal documents, correspondence and presentations.
  • Coordinating document execution and maintaining accurate records.
  • Building effective working relationships with colleagues and external advisers.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
