Paralegal (Corporate Law)
Due to extensive growth and multiple acquisitions, Fusion Consulting Group is looking to recruit a Corporate Paralegal to join us in our central office in the city of London.
FCG, now in its eleventh year of trading, established its Legal Services division in 2018 and more recently acquired Fusion Law (formerly Birdi & Co Solicitors), an SRA regulated law firm set up in 2021. Fusion Law focuses on Corporate, M&A, Commercial, Commercial Property, Non-Contentious Employment, GDPR and Banking & Finance.
This role is ideal for someone with at least two years of corporate paralegal experience who is looking to develop their career within a professional and supportive environment. Experience working on M&A transactions would also be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Paralegal to join our established legal team.
The successful candidate will support solicitors across a range of legal topics but will have a focus on corporate/M&A, and commercial property matters.
- Assisting solicitors with the preparation, management, and progression of legal matters
- Drafting and filing legal documents, correspondence, ancillary transaction documents and HMLR and Companies House forms with accuracy and attention to detail
- Conducting legal research and summarising findings clearly
- Managing case files, ensuring all documentation is organised and up to date
- Liaising with clients and third parties professionally
- Handling administrative tasks including filing, billing support, and diary management
- Administering the firm’s AML/KYC/CDD checks

Candidate Requirements
You will be required to embrace the values and culture of the firm, and you must be happy to work autonomously but within a collegiate and supportive environment.
- Minimum of three years’ experience working in a UK legal practice as a Paralegal, two of those within corporate law/M&A
- Strong understanding of legal procedures and documentation within the UK legal system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of organisation and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Familiarity with legal billing and time recording systems
Previous experience within Corporate Law is essential, and a willingness to engage in Commercial Property work (I.E company filings and property search enquiries) is also important.
