Paralegal Supervisor (9-Month FTC)
Manchester or Sheffield | Hybrid Working
A leading law firm is looking for a Paralegal Supervisor to join on a 9-month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced real estate professional to lead a team of Assistant Paralegals and Paralegals supporting a major client on a high-volume matter. Work includes easements, servitudes, deed-based land rights, overhead line infrastructure, underground apparatus rights and third-party consent issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a team of Assistant Paralegals and Paralegals
- Review and allocate incoming client instructions
- Monitor workloads, deadlines and matter progression across the team
- Provide guidance, coaching and quality assurance to ensure consistent delivery
- Liaise with instructing lawyers and attend regular client update calls
- Maintain online trackers, data rooms and matter management systems
- Ensure conflict requests and matter opening processes are completed promptly
- Support recruitment activities, interviewing and onboarding of new team members
- Manage holidays, absence, performance reviews and appraisals
- Identify training needs and support ongoing development within the team
- Assist with financial management, reporting, time recording and WIP processes

About You:
- At least 2 years' Real Estate experience gained within a law firm or in-house legal environment
- Strong technical understanding of real estate transactions
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
- Confident using case management systems and legal technology
- A collaborative, proactive and enthusiastic attitude
- Previous supervisory experience is beneficial but not essential
