Paralegal Supervisor (9-Month FTC)

Manchester or Sheffield | Hybrid Working

A leading law firm is looking for a Paralegal Supervisor to join on a 9-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced real estate professional to lead a team of Assistant Paralegals and Paralegals supporting a major client on a high-volume matter. Work includes easements, servitudes, deed-based land rights, overhead line infrastructure, underground apparatus rights and third-party consent issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a team of Assistant Paralegals and Paralegals
  • Review and allocate incoming client instructions
  • Monitor workloads, deadlines and matter progression across the team
  • Provide guidance, coaching and quality assurance to ensure consistent delivery
  • Liaise with instructing lawyers and attend regular client update calls
  • Maintain online trackers, data rooms and matter management systems
  • Ensure conflict requests and matter opening processes are completed promptly
  • Support recruitment activities, interviewing and onboarding of new team members
  • Manage holidays, absence, performance reviews and appraisals
  • Identify training needs and support ongoing development within the team
  • Assist with financial management, reporting, time recording and WIP processes

About You:

  • At least 2 years' Real Estate experience gained within a law firm or in-house legal environment
  • Strong technical understanding of real estate transactions
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
  • Confident using case management systems and legal technology
  • A collaborative, proactive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Previous supervisory experience is beneficial but not essential
