Paralegal - Military Claims
This is an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Military team, assisting this specialist team with military injury & accident claims.
The team manage a specialist caseload of claims relating to military claims including:
- Military Training Accidents
- Military Parachute Accident Claims
- Military Non Freezing Cold Injury Claims
- Armed Forces Medical Negligence Claims
- Armed Forces Compensation Scheme Claims
- Military Bullying and Harassment Claims
- Sea King Helicopter Cancer Claims
- Military Hearing Loss Claims
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting solicitors with a caseload of military injury claims.
- Drafting court applications, witness statements, legal correspondence, attendance notes, and court bundles.
- Liaising with clients.
- Attending client meetings.
- Assisting with preparing cases for hearings and conferences with counsel.
- Managing files, maintain accurate records, and comply with regulatory and file management procedures.
- Monitoring court deadlines and ensure timely filing of documents.
- Handling new enquiries and assisting with client onboarding.
- Assisting with business development activities, networking, and maintaining professional relationships.
- Conducting legal research on relevant legislation and case law.

Key Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
- A law degree, Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), or equivalent legal qualification.
- At least 12 months experience assisting with personal injury matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work empathetically with vulnerable clients.
- Professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
- Excellent knowledge of legal aid procedures.
- Experience attending court or client meetings.
- Demonstrated experience in and be passionate about developing a career in personal injury claims.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism when advising clients and their families on complex and often emotionally challenging issues.
