Description

As a Paralegal, you'll support our litigation teams in delivering exceptional client service, managing a variety of legal and administrative tasks while contributing to key client objectives. Key Accountabilities
- Maintain and update case management systems, including court deadlines, directions, applications, orders, and file activity.
- Draft routine court documents and correspondence.
- Liaise with courts, counsel, experts, witnesses, insurers, brokers, and opposing parties to progress claims.
- Chase outstanding instructions, documents, and actions to ensure deadlines are met.
- Process and monitor payment requests in line with client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with SRA Standards & Regulations.
- Support file handlers with investigations, recoveries, billing queries, MI completion, and file closure activities.
- Provide additional administrative and ad hoc support to the wider team as required.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Experience of working in a legal environment is desirable
- Good communication skills and experience of negotiating with and influencing 3rd parties to obtain information
- Demonstrable experience of:
- Following a semi-prescribed programme of work
- Dealing with calls and enquiries from customers, suppliers and/or the public
- Gathering and recording information
- Ability to work under own initiative, prioritising and organising own workload
- IT Literate;
- Proficient in MS Office (notably Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Experience of using a Claims/Case Management system
- Proficient in the use of alpha numerical filing systems
- GCSE grade A-C in Maths and English or equivalent
