About the Role

We’re a national law firm with a local reach. Our legal experts are here for you. Whether it’s personal or business, we understand that everyone’s situation is different. But we’re more than just a law firm – we’re a team of people working together to help individuals and businesses navigate life’s ups and downs. Working here you’ll feel a part of our friendly and inclusive environment.

We’ll value you for who you are and what you bring. We support each other and push boundaries to achieve incredible things and make a real difference to our clients and communities.

Our Restructuring & Insolvency team have a wide area of expertise, focusing on turnaround and insolvency matters; including advising banks, asset-based lenders, boards of directors, insolvency practitioners, debtors and other creditors on all matters arising where insolvency is likely unless action is taken by restructuring or where a formal insolvency is imminent or has occurred.

Your Role And What You'll Be Doing

As a Paralegal, you’ll join the team to provide assistance with the receivership process (including drafting appointment documents and undertaking HM Land Registry searches), the appointment of administrators and with transactions such as the sale of companies via pre-packaged administration sales. You will have the responsibility for managing your own caseloads and develop strong relationships with your own clients. You’ll be required to provide preliminary advice and guidance to clients, as well as preparing letters and documents for court cases. In addition, you may be required to assist with insolvency petitions and applications such as bankruptcy, winding up, applications under s236 of the Insolvency Act 1986, preference claims, claims for transactions at an undervalue and applications for possession. You’ll need to have the confidence to deal with matters right from the very beginning, being both approachable as well as efficient, to resolve matters as quickly as possible for our clients. You will also support the team on a variety of projects as required. This is an exciting and varied role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
