Leading IP Law Firm Seeks Experienced Trade Mark Paralegal

A leading IP law firm is looking for an experienced Trade Mark Paralegal to join its trade marks team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled paralegal to work with a highly regarded practice supporting a broad range of domestic and international clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing trade mark portfolios, including filing, prosecution and renewals
  • Preparing and filing UK, EU and international trade mark applications
  • Handling oppositions, cancellations and other contentious matters at an administrative level
  • Liaising with clients, foreign associates and trade mark offices worldwide
  • Docketing deadlines and maintaining accurate records within the firm's IP management system
  • Drafting correspondence and providing general support to fee earners
  • Assisting with watch notices, recordals, assignments and licences

  • Minimum of 4 years' trade mark paralegal experience gained within a law firm or in-house IP team (necessary)
  • Strong working knowledge of UK, EU and international trade mark procedures
  • Familiarity with trade mark case management systems (e.g. Inprotech, CPA Global or similar)
  • Excellent organisational skills and close attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, comfortable liaising directly with clients and overseas associates
  • CITMA qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
