Hours of work: 36 hours per week
Location: Lynton House
An excellent opportunity has arisen within the London Borough of Redbridge for three paralegals to work in the Council’s Legal Teams.
You will report to the Principal Lawyer, supporting the Team and working closely with other Council clients and specialist departments.
You will be responsible for supporting lawyers across the teams in relation to their specific areas of law which includes litigation, property and planning and safeguarding.

Responsibilities
- Providing and issuing applications, obtaining documentation to meet the requests of the Court, providing support to clients, creating and updating bundles and drafting legal documents.
- Provide assistance in relation to legal matters including ensuring compliance with any relevant protocols.
- Deal with non-routine casework in order to ensure the Council’s position is represented in the most cost effective and efficient manner.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Have a law degree (or working towards the same)
- Have experience of working in the legal profession.
- Have experience of working in a local authority or other large organisation.
- Have the ability to analyse and solve a variety of complex problems with minimal supervision.
- Have the ability to work in a demanding environment and meet deadlines whilst helping with a diverse workload.
