About the Company

Are you an experienced Residential Conveyancing Paralegal looking for your next opportunity within a successful and expanding property team? We are seeking a talented and motivated Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join a busy and growing team, supporting experienced conveyancing lawyers across a varied caseload of residential property matters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, delivering exceptional client service and playing a key role in supporting a high-performing conveyancing department.

About the Role

You will work closely with experienced residential property lawyers, assisting with the progression of matters from initial instruction through to completion. You will manage your own responsibilities within a busy team environment, ensuring clients receive a professional, efficient and seamless service throughout their conveyancing journey.

Responsibilities

  • Opening and managing client files in line with compliance requirements.
  • Preparing contract packs and supporting transaction progression.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, solicitors and other stakeholders.
  • Managing post-exchange administration.
  • Preparing completion statements and completion documentation.
  • Carrying out final searches.
  • Submitting SDLT applications and AP1 forms.
  • Handling Land Registry requisitions.
  • Providing updates and responding to client enquiries.
  • Supporting lawyers with general administrative duties, including dictation, audio typing and document preparation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a residential conveyancing environment and a strong understanding of conveyancing processes and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Previous experience as a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal, Conveyancing Assistant or similar role.
  • A good understanding of residential property transactions.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with clients and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
  • Confidence using modern IT systems, including document preparation, audio/copy typing and diary management.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Experience using Tikit Partner for Windows would be advantageous, although not essential.
