Job Description
Start: September/October
An excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal/administrator to provide support to our flagship media and communications law department.
Applicants must have:
- Experience of working as a paralegal
- A real interest in this area of law
- Accomplished communicators; equally adept verbally in person/on the telephone and at drafting correspondence
- Ability to conduct effective legal research
- First-rate note taking skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
- A proactive approach to their work
- A ‘can do’ attitude
The successful applicant will need to balance their paralegal and administrative duties appropriately to ensure no task is neglected.
The role will involve:
- Attending meetings and court hearings
- Assisting in the drafting of legal documents
- Electronic filing of case-related documents and emails
- Invoicing files, taking and acknowledging payments
- Credit control
- Preparing bundles
- Lodging documents at court
- Legal research
- Factual research
- Proof reading
- Researching and drafting legal blogs and updates
- Ad hoc administrative tasks (including supporting the smooth operation of the office)

The successful candidate must have:
- Excellent IT skills
- Proficiency in using the advanced features of Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF (including, tracking documents, mail merge, creating formulas on Excel and editing and signing PDF documents)
