Role overview
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal/Support Lawyer to join our Funds practice. This role will provide comprehensive support across a broad range of fund formation, fund raising and investment management matters, working closely with partners, associates, clients and external stakeholders to ensure matters progress efficiently and to the highest standard.
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with the ability to influence, coordinate and build strong relationships across multiple stakeholder groups, helping to drive complex funds matters forward and ensuring key deliverables are met.

Key responsibilities
- Support the coordination and execution of fund formation, fund closing and investment management matters, acting as a central point of contact between clients, lawyers, counterparties, investors, external advisers and other stakeholders.
- Proactively manage matter workstreams, monitor progress against key milestones and coordinate stakeholders to ensure deadlines and deliverables are achieved.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients and internal teams, facilitating collaboration and helping to resolve issues that may impact timelines.
- Prepare, review and manage funds-related documentation, including subscription documents, investor materials, closing documentation and ancillary fund documents, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Coordinate and support due diligence processes, organise findings and assist with the preparation of reports, summaries and client deliverables.
- Track closing deliverables, investor documentation requirements and post-closing actions, ensuring all matters are progressed efficiently and completed on time.
- Provide clear and timely updates to stakeholders regarding matter status, risks, dependencies and next steps.
- Assist with know-how, precedent management and other practice support initiatives as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, efficiency and service delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
