Role Description

The Paramedic role at Nerams Ltd is a full-time, on-site position based in Durham. The Paramedic will provide high-quality pre-hospital emergency and non-emergency care, including patient assessment, treatment, and safe transport in line with clinical guidelines and company procedures. The role also involves:

Qualifications

  • Registered Paramedic qualification (e.g., HCPC registration or equivalent) and completion of an approved paramedic science program.
  • Strong clinical skills in pre-hospital assessment, emergency care, life support, and patient stabilization.
  • Knowledge of mental health first aid principles and ability to support individuals experiencing mental health crises.
  • Understanding of health and safety standards, risk assessment, and safe working practices in ambulance and event settings.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families, colleagues, and partner services, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure, make sound clinical decisions, and adapt to changing situations and environments.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary crews and follow established protocols.
  • Good level of physical fitness, a valid driving license suitable for ambulance driving, and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and evenings as required.
  • Previous experience in ambulance transport, event medical cover, or emergency services is beneficial.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, training, and adherence to non-discriminatory, patient-centered care practices.
