The Opportunity
We're working with a highly regarded independent financial planning firm looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join their growing technical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual who enjoys delivering high-quality client outcomes. You'll work closely with Financial Advisers, providing technical support across a broad range of financial planning areas while playing a key role in the advice process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality, FCA-compliant suitability reports
- Conduct technical research across pensions, investments, protection, tax and estate planning
- Produce cashflow models and retirement planning analysis
- Research funds, providers and investment platforms
- Prepare annual review documentation and client meeting packs
- Liaise with advisers, providers and clients to progress cases efficiently
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements
- Keep up to date with legislative and industry developments
- Support advisers with complex technical queries and recommendations

About You

- Previous experience as a Paraplanner within an IFA or financial planning firm
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or working towards completion)
- Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, protection and tax planning
- Experience writing suitability reports
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- Experience using systems such as Intelligent Office, Xplan, FE Analytics, Voyant, CashCalc or Dynamic Planner is advantageous
