Paraplanner – (Leeds)

Salary: £35,000+ DOE

Full-time | On-Site

A growing Chartered independent financial planning practice in the Leeds area is seeking a technically strong Paraplanner to support its advice team. The firm works with individuals, families and business owners across retirement planning, wealth management, protection and estate planning.

The team uses modern planning tools, including cashflow modelling and automated support systems, to streamline processes and free up time for meaningful client work. As a small, collaborative team, they value accuracy, clarity and a people-first approach to financial planning.

The Role

You will act as the technical engine room behind the firm’s advisers, turning client conversations into detailed research, analysis and compliant recommendations. Your work will ensure every client receives clear, accurate and personalised planning.

What you'll be doing:

  • Researching and analysing client circumstances across pensions, investments, protection and tax planning
  • Preparing suitability reports — using AI-supported systems alongside your own judgement — and other client-facing documentation, in line with regulatory requirements
  • Comparing products and providers to identify the most suitable solutions for each client
  • Supporting advisors in developing financial planning recommendations and strategies
  • Building and interpreting cashflow models to help clients see their financial future clearly
  • Liaising with product providers, platforms and other third parties to gather what's needed
  • Keeping client records accurate and ensuring everything we do meets FCA requirements
  • Staying on top of changes in legislation, tax rules and the wider financial planning landscape
  • Helping with administration, including completing transactions
  • Helping to improve paraplanning processes and templates

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
