Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a highly respected and well-established Financial Planning firm who are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative organisation that places a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality financial advice and an exceptional client experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Advisers and the wider team, preparing personalised suitability reports, undertaking detailed technical research and ensuring all client work is accurate, compliant and completed within agreed deadlines.
Working closely with Advisers and senior members of the team, you will provide technical and administrative support across a broad range of financial planning areas, including retirement planning, investments, protection, IHT and trust planning, and business planning. This role would suit an experienced Paraplanner who enjoys the technical side of financial planning, is highly organised and takes pride in producing meaningful, well-considered client recommendations.
Skills & Experience
- Level 4 CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience within a Paraplanner role, ideally within a Financial Planning or Wealth Management environment
- Good understanding of financial products and services, with strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and wider financial planning
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse client records and provide detailed technical commentary
- Experience preparing suitability reports, client letters and supporting financial planning documentation
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage an effective and efficient workload while working on multiple cases simultaneously
- Good understanding of the administration and support aspects of Paraplanning, including business submissions and preparation of presentation packs
- Experience using FE Analytics, Voyant and Salesforce/Aptus would be advantageous
- A positive, collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a small, close-knit team
- A strong commitment to accuracy, compliance and delivering an exceptional client experience

Roles & Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare personalised suitability reports and client letters that are well thought out, meaningful and tailored to individual client circumstances
- Conduct comparative research and technical analysis to support appropriate, evidence-based client recommendations
- Prepare recommendations across a broad range of financial planning areas, including retirement planning, pension transfers and drawdowns, investments, protection, IHT and trust planning, and business planning
- Ensure all client work and supporting documentation, including Fact Finds, illustrations and relevant paperwork, is accurate, complete and compliant
- Work efficiently to meet target deadlines while managing multiple cases and priorities
- Investigate client queries thoroughly and provide accurate and appropriate responses
- Provide administration and paraplanning support, including requesting additional information through Letters of Authority and assisting with business submissions
- Support the preparation of presentation packs and other relevant client documentation
- Work collaboratively as part of a wider team to ensure an exceptional client experience and the consistent delivery of high-quality financial advice
