Senior Paraplanner

Leeds | Hybrid Working Available

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking to take the next step in your career with a highly respected financial planning firm?

We're partnering with a well established and growing wealth management business in Leeds that is seeking a Senior Paraplanner to join its technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong individual who enjoys complex financial planning work and wants to play a key role in supporting advisers and shaping best practice across the business.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Managing Director and Financial Advisers, you'll be responsible for:

  • Producing high-quality financial planning reports
  • Carrying out technical research
  • Supporting client review processes
  • Providing expert technical guidance across a wide range of advice areas

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate, compliant, and client-focused suitability reports.
  • Carry out technical research across pensions, investments, protection, and retirement planning.
  • Assist with the production of client portfolio reviews.
  • Build and maintain detailed cashflow planning models.
  • Respond to technical queries from advisers and clients.
  • Support the ongoing review of preferred provider and investment panels.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of report templates, tools, and technical resources.
  • Help deliver technical training and support to colleagues across the business.
  • Produce technical updates and market bulletins for clients and professional introducers.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Paraplanning position within financial services.
  • Level 4 Diploma qualified (or equivalent), including pension qualifications.
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and financial planning.
  • Experience using cashflow modelling software.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent written communication and report writing abilities.
  • A desire to continue studying towards Chartered Financial Planner status.
