Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking to join a progressive and client-focused wealth management firm?
We are working with a highly respected independent financial planning business seeking a technically strong Paraplanner / Technical Specialist to support Financial Planners in delivering exceptional financial planning advice to high-net-worth clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for a diploma-qualified professional who enjoys technical research, report writing, cashflow modelling, and playing an active role in the advice process. You’ll work closely with experienced advisers and have the opportunity to contribute to investment and financial planning discussions within a collaborative team environment.
The Role
As a Technical Specialist, you will provide comprehensive support to Financial Planners and play a key role in the delivery of holistic financial planning advice.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Attending client meetings alongside Financial Planners to provide technical support
- Preparing for client meetings through detailed financial analysis and research
- Producing cashflow forecasts and modelling using financial planning software
- Researching financial planning solutions and investment products
- Writing suitability reports and technical recommendations
- Liaising with providers, discretionary fund managers (DFMs), and other third parties
- Managing and progressing client requirements through to completion
- Supporting annual client review processes
- Assisting with client presentations and ongoing planning activities
- Ensuring regulatory and compliance standards are maintained
- Contributing to internal technical reviews and investment discussions
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Diploma qualified status (DipPFS or equivalent)
- 5 years’ experience within an IFA, financial planning, or wealth management environment
- Strong technical knowledge across financial planning products and services
- Experience working with discretionary fund managers (DFMs)
- Excellent analytical and research capabilities
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- High attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience using financial planning software such as Voyant, Genovo, FinaMetrica, or similar
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
