Senior IFA Administrator / Junior Paraplanner – Tunbridge Wells
£35,000–£42,000 depending on experience | Hybrid considered
An established and growing financial planning practice in Tunbridge Wells is looking for an experienced IFA professional to work closely with one of the directors as their right-hand person.
This is a varied, hands-on role, combining adviser support and administration with technical financial planning work. It would suit someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of the advice process and taking ownership.
This is not a purely Paraplanning role. You’ll work closely with the adviser, managing client requirements and helping ensure everything runs smoothly.
The role
- Provide dedicated day-to-day support to one of the directors.
- Manage the adviser’s workload, administration and workflow.
- Organise client meetings, reviews and follow-ups.
- Liaise with clients, providers and third parties.
- Manage new business and applications.
- Support client servicing and ongoing reviews.
- Carry out pension and investment research.
- Prepare suitability reports and financial planning documentation.
- Maintain accurate, compliant client records.
- Track outstanding tasks and deadlines.
- Take ownership and provide proactive support.
- Assist with ad hoc technical and administrative work.

You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience within an IFA or financial planning practice – essential.
- Experience as a Senior IFA Administrator, Financial Planning Administrator, Adviser Support professional or Administrator/Paraplanner.
- A good understanding of the financial advice process.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Good technical knowledge of pensions, investments and financial planning.
- Some experience of Paraplanning, technical research and/or suitability reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A confident, professional manner with clients and providers.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership.
- A flexible attitude and willingness to get involved.
