Job Opportunity for an Experienced Paraplanner
We are working with an established and forward-thinking financial planning firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that recognises the importance of work-life balance and takes a refreshingly flexible approach to how its employees work.
Rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all policy, the firm is happy to discuss individual working arrangements, offering a combination of home and office-based working following an initial training period.
The Role
Working closely with Financial Advisers and the wider support team, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality financial planning advice and technical support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing comprehensive suitability reports, recommendation reports and annual reviews.
- Undertaking detailed product and investment research.
- Conducting due diligence and providing technical support to Financial Advisers.
- Ensuring all recommendations and documentation meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Working collaboratively with advisers and administrators to deliver an excellent client experience.
- Supporting and coaching less experienced members of the paraplanning team where appropriate.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of internal processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
