Role Purpose

To provide high-quality technical, research and report-writing support to Nine Edge Wealth's financial planners, enabling them to deliver first-class, compliant advice to clients. The Paraplanner turns adviser strategy into clear, accurate and suitable recommendations — owning the research, analysis and suitability documentation that sit behind every client outcome. The role also carries a defined share of client-servicing and administrative responsibility, ensuring cases move smoothly from recommendation through to implementation and that client files remain accurate, complete and audit-ready. It is a non-advising role focused on quality, compliance and client care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report writing and suitability

    • Prepare clear, accurate and compliant suitability reports and recommendation letters, tailored to each client's circumstances and objectives.
    • Ensure all documentation meets FCA requirements, Consumer Duty expectations and Nine Edge's internal standards.
    • Maintain and improve report templates, wording and house style in conjunction with the advice and compliance teams.
  • Technical research and analysis

    • Must understand and follow Nine Edge process and proposition.
    • Research products, funds, wrappers and providers across pensions, investments, protection and tax planning.
    • Analyse existing client arrangements and produce comparisons, cost analyses and switching/consolidation assessments.
    • Provide technical insight and commentary to advisers to support the shaping of client recommendations, in line with the Centralised Investment Proposition.
  • Cashflow modelling and planning support

    • Build cashflow models and scenario analyses to support retirement, income and estate-planning discussions.
    • Prepare pre-meeting packs, valuations and supporting analysis ahead of client reviews.
  • Compliance and regulatory standards

    • Ensure recommendations are suitable, evidenced and aligned with regulatory and internal standards before sign-off.
    • Keep up to date with regulatory, product and tax developments and reflect them in research and reports.
  • Administration and client servicing

    • Take ownership of a share of case administration — processing new business, submitting applications and tracking cases through to completion.
    • Liaise with product providers and platforms to obtain information, chase outstanding items and resolve queries.
    • Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date client records on the back-office system (e.g. Intelligent Office / similar) and ensure files are audit-ready.
    • Support advisers with client correspondence, review scheduling and general servicing tasks as part of the wider team remit.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
