Paraplanner (5+ Years Experience)

Location: West End, London
Working Pattern: 4 days in-office / 1 day flexible
Salary: Competitive + benefits (dependent on experience)

We are a boutique, client-focused Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) based in London’s West End. The firm specialises in delivering high-quality, tailored financial planning to HNW and UHNW clients, with a strong emphasis on long-term relationships and personalised advice.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to support Financial Advisers in delivering holistic financial planning solutions. This is a technical, detail-oriented role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with advisers and playing a key part in the client journey.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality suitability reports, conducting research, and ensuring all recommendations are compliant and aligned with client objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed suitability reports across pensions, investments, and protection
  • Conduct technical research and analysis of financial products and providers
  • Assist advisers in developing client recommendations and financial strategies
  • Analyse client information including income, assets, liabilities, and risk profiles
  • Ensure all work meets FCA regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards
  • Use Intelligent Office (IO) to maintain accurate client records and workflows
  • Liaise with advisers, administrators, and providers to support the end-to-end advice process
  • Contribute to cashflow modelling and financial planning where required

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a paraplanning role within an IFA/wealth management firm
  • Level 4 Diploma (CII) or equivalent paraplanning qualification (essential)
  • Strong working knowledge of Intelligent Office (IO)
  • Solid understanding of UK financial planning, including pensions, investments, and protection
  • Excellent report writing and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

Desirable

  • Experience working with HNW clients
  • Exposure to cashflow modelling tools (e.g. Voyant, Truth)
  • Progress toward Chartered status
