An exciting opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner to join our respected financial services practice in Bournemouth.
The successful candidate will be employed as a Paraplanner within a well-established, centralised Paraplanning team that enables advisers to deliver outstanding financial planning advice to clients.
You will have excellent technical skills and meticulous attention to detail and be required to take ownership of new business cases in a variety of technical areas.
Full-Time Permanent Position:
Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience

Duties will include but not limited to:
- Working closely with advisers to finalise advice requirements, including analysing and reviewing existing arrangements.
- Preparing client-facing letters and reports to a high standard, following our internal processes and procedures.
- Putting together complete and compliant files, ensuring advice and supporting documentation meet with FCA regulations.
- Using a variety of platform and provider systems to key new business and collate sign up documents.
- Effectively using a number of research tools to analyse, research and evidence the advice.
- Provide detailed and technical support to advisers in a range of product areas.
- Liaise with platforms, providers and third parties to obtain information, quotes, illustrations and product details.

Successful candidates will:
- Have the confidence to take ownership of work and challenge the advice and information if needed.
- Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Take pride in producing quality work for advisers.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Be comfortable using their own initiative and work independently on cases.
- Have the ability to prioritise workload and often conflicting deadlines! Be self-disciplined and organised, with the ability to manage your own workflow.
- Be able to customise reports, adding bespoke wording in a way that helps convert technical jargon into client friendly language.

Essential requirements:
- Use of Microsoft (specifically Word and Excel).
- Have worked within the Financial Services profession for at least 3 years, with prior experience in the Paraplanner role
Essential experience:
- Investments e.g. ISA, GIA & Bonds
- Personal Pensions
- Drawdown & Annuities
Ideal experience:
- Estate planning and Trusts
- Taxation
- Basic understanding of investment solutions and risk management
Specialist expertise that would set you apart:
- Alternative Investments such as: EIS and VCT
- Defined Benefit transfers
- Mortgages & Equity Release
- Long-Term Care
Ideal experience, but not essential:
- True Potential back-office system
- O&M
- CashCalc
- FE Analytics
- Various platforms and providers
- Advanced Diploma or Diploma level qualifications are favourable, but no formal qualifications are required to apply.
- There is potential for exam progression, but again this is not required.
