Paraprofessional, Full-time – Benson Public Schools District

POSITION: Paraprofessional

Full-time – 2026-27 School Year and beyond

Benson Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and highly energetic individual for a full-time position of Paraprofessional for grades 6-12.

DESCRIPTION: Responsible for providing academic, behavioral, and physical support to students under the direction of certified staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school degree, GED, or equivalent experience; and
• Holds one of the following to meet the Highly Qualified Paraprofessional requirement or will obtain within the probationary period:
  • At least two years of college credits (usually 60 credits in Minnesota)
  • Passing score of 65% (or higher) for the Instructional Support test and 70% (or higher) for the Knowledge and Application test on the Minnesota Service Cooperatives ParaEducator Proctored Test
  • Passing score of 460 (or higher) on the ParaPro Assessment
  • Obtain the PELSB Paraprofessional Credential
  • An AA, AS, AAS (or higher) degree
