ELL Paraprofessional, Full time – Benson Public Schools
POSITIONS: ELL Paraprofessional
Full time – 2026-27 School Year and beyond
Benson Public Schools is seeking a highly energetic individual for a full-time position of ELL Paraprofessional.
DESCRIPTION: The K–12 ELL Paraprofessional provides in-class, small-group, and one-on-one support to English Language Learners across grade levels and subject areas. This role collaborates with teachers to assist students in understanding course content, developing academic language, and navigating school routines. The ideal candidate is patient, flexible, and passionate about supporting multilingual students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school degree, GED, or equivalent experience; and
- Holds one of the following to meet the Highly Qualified Paraprofessional requirement or will obtain within the probationary period:
- At least two years of college credits (usually 60 credits in Minnesota)
- Passing score of 65% (or higher) for the Instructional Support test and 70% (or higher) for the Knowledge and Application test on the Minnesota Service Cooperatives ParaEducator Proctored Test
- Passing score of 460 (or higher) on the ParaPro Assessment
- Obtain the PELSB Paraprofessional Credential
- An AA, AS, AAS (or higher) degree
Starting range for this position is: $17.05 - $21.72/hour

All employees participate in the state’s pension program, (TRA/PERA). Employees can participate in the 403(b) retirement program. QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school degree, GED, or equivalent experience; and
- Holds one of the following to meet the Highly Qualified Paraprofessional requirement or will obtain within the probationary period:
- At least two years of college credits (usually 60 credits in Minnesota)
- An AA, AS, AAS (or higher) degree
- Obtain the PELSB Paraprofessional Credential
