About The Role
A Parcel Sorter position is available in Northampton with Pertemps, supporting Royal Mail’s Midlands Super Hub. This temporary contract pays £13.69 per hour and requires weekend availability. You will sort and scan items, load and unload pallets, move packages, and prepare containers for despatch, ensuring a tidy and safe workspace. No prior experience is necessary, as full training is provided. Applicants should be dependable, punctual, and comfortable standing or walking for extended periods. Additional shifts may arise during peak times. This hands-on warehouse role suits those seeking consistent weekend work within a large-scale parcel operation.
Pertemps is supporting Royal Mail with warehouse recruitment at the Midlands Super Hub. We’re currently looking for reliable Parcel Sorters who are available to work weekend shifts.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Sorting and scanning parcels
- Loading and unloading parcels and pallets
- Moving parcels around the warehouse
- Preparing parcels and containers for despatch
- Keeping your work area safe and organised
What We’re Looking For
No previous experience is needed as training is provided. You’ll need to:
- Be available to work weekends
- Be reliable, punctual, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Be happy standing and walking for long periods
- Be able to handle mail bags up to 11kg and parcels up to 30kg
- Be comfortable switching between different warehouse tasks

Pay Rates
Rates vary depending on shift times, from £13.69 for mornings and days to £16.44 per hour for nights. Pay rates to be confirmed once a shift pattern is agreed.
Shift Patterns (Earlies and Lates available)
- Friday 0545 or 1400 start times
- Saturday 0545 or 1900 start times
- Sunday 0600 or 1800 start times
Location: Northampton NN6 7GZ
