Parking Administration Officer
37 hours per week working Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
Permanent, £26,847 - £29,542 per annum
Our Parking Services Administration Team plays a key role in supporting services across eight councils, offering an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is keen to learn, develop new skills, and build a successful career in administration.
The Parking Administration Officer role is designed for an ambitious individual with a genuine desire to learn and develop. Through structured training and hands-on experience, you will gain the skills and knowledge needed to support a busy and important public service.
While this is a position to learn and develop in, it is a responsible role requiring a professional approach, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high standards of service in all areas.
You will be responsible for reviewing and making decisions on parking-related correspondence in the appeals process, registering unpaid Penalty Charge Notices as debts through the Traffic Enforcement Centre, and ensuring all statutory processes are carried out accurately and within strict deadlines.
We are looking for someone who can analyse information, review evidence objectively and make consistent decisions based on legislation, policy and guidance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
