Location: London (Hybrid Working Available)

Rate: £35 - £38 per hour

Contract Length: 3 Months Initially

Hours: Full Time

About The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Parking Policy Officer to join a local authority team in Wandsworth on an initial 3-month contract.

This role will focus on the design, consultation, implementation and review of parking schemes, including Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) and Traffic Management Orders (TMOs). The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, residents, and internal teams to deliver effective parking solutions and traffic management improvements across the borough.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake site visits and parking surveys to assess existing restrictions and identify improvements.
  • Develop parking and traffic management proposals.
  • Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for consultation and Traffic Management Order advertisements.
  • Assist in the preparation and progression of Traffic Management Orders (TMOs).
  • Support the delivery, monitoring, and review of parking schemes and CPZ projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, consultation documents, and correspondence.
  • Attend meetings with residents, councillors, and key stakeholders.
  • Assist with the day-to-day management of parking schemes and car parks.

About You

  • Experience within parking policy, traffic management, highways, or transportation.
  • Knowledge of parking legislation and Traffic Management Orders.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and the production of technical drawings.
  • Experience carrying out site inspections and parking assessments.
  • Strong written, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Previous local authority experience is highly desirable.
