Company Description

Angus Meek Architects is a registered RIBA Chartered Practice and member of the Green Register, with a history dating back to 1882. The practice is experienced in delivering projects from inception to completion, offering flexible solutions that align with client aspirations. The core team has worked together for over a decade on residential, commercial, industrial, affordable housing, refurbishment, and bespoke leisure projects.

Services include full building design, feasibility studies, 3D visualisation, contract administration, and planning consultancy, all underpinned by sustainable and practical design thinking.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bristol for a Part 2 Architect / Architectural Technologist. The role involves supporting projects from concept through to completion, including preparing drawings, models, and technical documentation.

  • Developing architectural designs
  • Coordinating with consultants and contractors
  • Assisting with planning applications and building regulations submissions
  • Collaborating closely with the project team
  • Contributing to sustainable design solutions
  • Attending site visits and meetings
  • Helping manage project information and workflow in line with practice standards

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, with experience working on projects across multiple sectors.
  • Ability to support Project Management activities, including coordination of information, tracking progress, and contributing to delivery timelines.
  • Familiarity with Integration of design and technical requirements, ensuring coherent solutions across disciplines.
  • Proficiency with relevant design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar BIM tools, Adobe Creative Suite) and good digital literacy.
  • ARB Part 2 qualification or equivalent, or demonstrable experience as an Architectural Technologist in a professional practice.
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations, planning processes, and sustainable design principles.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate within a small, established team and liaise with external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage workload across multiple projects, and commitment to continuous professional development.
